With the support of a joint federal and state government grant, CTS Tyre Recycling has committed to a major additional capability at its new state of the art facility being built at Neerabup, north of Perth.
The Neerabup project, valued at more than $40-million, will deliver a recycling plant to process waste tyres into crumb rubber, tyre derived products, reusable high tensile steel wire and reusable textile.
And the company has now committed to install a remanufacturing line at the new facility.
The latest grant, of $4.5-million, was announced by Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek and WA Environment Minister Reece Whitby as part of the joint-government Recycling Modernisation Fund.
